Refugee Week

We're proud to be taking part in this year's Refugee Week, the world's largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, resilience and creativity of refugees.

From 15th-21st June The Crown are proud to be serving baklava from Mustafa and his family's recipe. Perfect for dessert or to enjoy with a coffee. A percentage of all sales will go to The Refugee Buddy Project.

“I am very happy to share my Baklava recipe with you. For us in Syria, and specifically in my home city of Idlib, Baklava is a symbol of hospitality and love. I hope this recipe spreads a taste of hope and sharing through Buddy Project. My husband Mustafa and I (Lina) are proud to be a part of this wonderful initiative.”

Our shop shelves at the pub will again play host to an array of craft items for sale, made with love by the refugee community in the local area.
